Self-hosted
Run Paiso on your own server
A security professional built Paiso, and privacy shaped its design. Self-hosting gives you the strongest form of that: your financial data never leaves hardware you control.
Your data stays with you
The database and your files live on your server. Nothing goes to Paiso.
The core of Paiso
The dashboard, your portfolio, investments (stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, property and other assets), budgeting (income, expenses and transfers) and transactions.
You bring the data in
Add accounts by hand and import transactions from CSV, OFX and QFX files. Automatic import from your banks is part of the hosted plans.
What you need
- A computer or server that runs Docker
- One container. Paiso keeps its data in a single SQLite file, so there is no separate database to run
- A domain name and HTTPS if you want to reach Paiso from outside your network
- Comfort with a command line. The self-hosted edition sends no email, so you reset a password with a command
What the hosted plans add
- Automatic import of transactions, investments and liabilities from your banks
- Sign-in with Google, and a guided setup
- Family details and themes
- Support from Paiso. The community supports the self-hosted edition

The source release is coming
The self-hosted edition is free and open source, under the AGPL-3.0 licence. Its code is not public yet. This page will link to the repository and the installation guide when Paiso publishes them.
Until then, the hosted service at app.paisoapp.com is the way to use Paiso.
