Turn on two-factor authentication
Protect your account with a code from an authenticator app.
Your account
Two-factor authentication asks for a code from your phone when you sign in. Someone who learns your password still cannot get in.
Turn it on
- Install an authenticator app on your phone. Any app that supports TOTP codes works.
- In Paiso, open Settings, then Security.
- Under Two-factor authentication, start the setup and scan the QR code with your app.
- Enter the six-digit code your app shows.
Keep your recovery codes
Paiso shows you ten recovery codes when you finish setup, and only then. Copy or download them and store them somewhere safe. Each code signs you in once if you lose your phone.
You can get a new set under Settings, then Security. The old codes stop working when you do.
Turn it off
Open Settings, then Security, and choose to turn two-factor authentication off. Paiso asks for your password and a current code first, and emails you when it is off.
