Connect your finances
Connect your bank, card and brokerage accounts so Paiso imports your accounts and transactions for you.
Accounts and data · Advanced plan
On the Advanced plan, Paiso imports your transactions, investments and liabilities from your bank, card issuer and brokerage.
Connect
- Open Settings, then Accounts.
- Select Connect your finances. Paiso lists what happens next.
- Select Continue to Plaid. A window from Plaid opens over Paiso.
- Find your bank, card issuer or brokerage in the Plaid window and sign in.
- Choose the accounts you want to share with Paiso.
Plaid returns you to Paiso. Paiso imports those accounts, shows its progress, and keeps them up to date.
What Paiso can and cannot see
You sign in to your bank inside Plaid. Your bank username and password never reach Paiso. Paiso receives your balances, transactions, holdings and liabilities, and nothing that lets it move money.
If you leave the Advanced plan
Paiso removes your bank connections when your Advanced plan ends. The accounts and transactions Paiso already imported stay in your account.
Sync an account
Paiso keeps connected accounts up to date by itself. To check for new data now, open Settings, then Accounts, open the menu on an account card and select Sync now. Paiso shows its progress under the institution, then tells you what came in.
Share more accounts, or fewer
Select the More options button beside the institution’s name, then Add or remove accounts. Plaid opens the institution’s list of accounts, where you tick the ones to share and save.
If you stop sharing an account and share it again later, Paiso reattaches it to the account you already had, with its history.
Remove one account
Select the account card, then the remove button in its drawer. Choose what happens to the account:
- Keep as a manual account keeps the account and its history. You keep it up to date by importing files or by hand.
- Delete account and history removes the account and everything in it. This cannot be undone.
When the institution shares more than one account, you can also choose where to stop it. Stop syncing in Paiso is done in one step, with no bank sign-in. Also stop sharing it at the institution opens its window, where you untick the account and save.
Disconnect an institution
Select the More options button beside the institution’s name, then Disconnect. You get the same two choices for all of its accounts: keep them as manual accounts, or delete them and their history.
